Hawaii to Become First U.S. State to Run on 100% Renewable Energy

Hawaii to Become First U.S. State to Run on 100% Renewable Energy! This is awesome news. All we need now is to get the other 49 states to join in. Hey, Texas! You ready? Oh wait, that’s right, you guys are too busy fighting off that imaginary invasion and drinking your oil cocktails to actually enter the 21st century.

In all seriousness and pokes at silliness from other states aside, this is very good news for the energy industry. Fossil fuels are on the way out, and renewables are growing ever faster. This is a new age of energy, and we’re watching it happen LIVE on the internet.

“A bill passed by the Hawaii Legislature last week has stated that 100 percent of the state’s electricity will be generated by renewables by 2045. If achieved, it will make Hawaii the first state in the US to run entirely on sustainable energy sources.” ~ ScienceAlert

So, what’s the deal? Come on people, lets make this nation 100% renewable in the next 50 years.

It’s possible.
