Tesla SolarCity Announces Plans to Expand Services in Florida

On Election Day voters in FL stood by solar by rejecting a measure that would have severely hampered the solar industry in the state, and now that Tesla has officially acquired SolarCity, they have announced that they will be expanding their offerings into the Sunshine State. They will provide solar panels through various lease programs from the utility companies and also offer up more buyer direct options in the near future as well. The expansion by Tesla (They will be phasing out the SolarCity brand name) will make solar a more viable and affordable option for those looking to go off grid in the state of Florida, and many of the systems will be compatible with the Tesla Powerwall 2 and their first distribution center will be in the Orlando area with plans to expand to other areas of the state in the coming months.
