A while back we did an article featuring I-Beam Design’s $500 pallet house that is designed and built from pallets. Here are some more images from this amazing idea that could go a long way toward housing the world’s refugees, homeless, and even off gridders looking to cut costs and live a simpler life.
The Pallet House is 16×16 feet or 256 square feet and uses approximately 80 pallets nailed and strapped into place. The simple economical design makes it a no-brainer. The cost is about $480 total ($400 for the pallets and about $80 for the hardware; according to I Beam Design)
